Ход урока

  1. Организационный момент

Подготовительный этап Orientation:

- Good afternoon, everybody! Happy to see you and our guests. Take your seats, please. Today our English lesson is a little unusual and I want you share your ideas at the end of the class

Small talk: Do you like to read? What genre do you prefer? What about Adventure stories? What books of the kind can you name? Have you read Daniel Defoe’s “Robinson Crusoe”?

-Good! Those who haven’t read this book will get to know the plot of the story and I hope will be inspired to read it.

So, Task 1 on your Worksheets. Let’s read a short entry to the book

Here are some new words for you, repeat them after me (captives, Mutineers, cannibals, Cast away, go wild).

Read and answer the question: What happened to the prototype? . Do you understand the meaning of the word “Prototype”? (A prototype is someone or something that serves as a model or inspiration for those that come later)

-----st1 reads

-----st 2 answers

Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся.

Imagine that you were cast away on a desert island. What would you do? Personally I would panic. What about you? (make use of the 2nd section)

---If I were…..

----st1, st2,st3…

-By the way, is it a real situation? Can it become a reality? Yes, of course. On condition. On condition of the airplane crash or shipwreck, disaster.

Now, Can you define, what the theme of our lesson is?

---Robinson Crusoe and Conditionals. 4 types.

Imagine That we are on the desert island and We’ll escape from it when we manage to do all the tasks correctly.

3) Актуализация знаний.

- Now read the sentences (1-4) in section 3. Compare them. Try to Translate and understand the meaning. Are they different? In what way? In their structure

Look at the table (Плакат 1 таблица), and study the Grammar reference section for this lesson (in the textbook).

2) Повторение грамматического правила Conditional Sentences

- This is the structure of any Conditional Sentence. (работаем по таблице на плакате)

There are 2 clauses: If – clause and result (main) clause.

-How many types of Conditional Sentences do you know? - There are 4 types of Conditionals: zero, I, II, III.

- Conditional 1, what do you know about this type?

- Conditional 1 is real, because it is used for real - or possible – situations in the present or future.

Conditional 1 is formed by the use of the present simple in the if - clause and future simple in the main clause.

- Conditional 2, what do you know about this type?

- Conditional 2 is often called the "unreal" conditional because it is used for unreal оr impossible situations in the future. This conditional provides an imaginary result for a given situation.

Conditional 2 is formed by the use of the past simple in the if - clause and would + infinitive in the main clause.

- And tell me, please, what do you know about the Conditional 3?

- Conditional 3 is often called the "past" conditional because it expresses only past situations with unreal results.

Conditional 3 is formed by the use of the past perfect in the if clause and would /might/could + perfect bare infinitive in the main clause.

And we don’t have information about Zero Conditional - What is zero conditional?

- Zero Conditional expresses the situations that are always true if something happens. Zero Conditional is formed by the use of the present simple in the if - clause and the present simple in the main clause. Have a look at Part 4 of your Worksheets

Can you give your own examples?

- st.1…..

- Wonderful, thanks.

4) Подготовка учащихся к обобщенной деятельности

Task 4 Fill in the table in your Worksheets, It will help you to do ex-s

(worksheet ex.4)

Let’s check how well you know the structural patterns of Conditionals

(для определения кто будет отвечать пользуемся dice на интерактивном плакате, переходим по ссылке на упражнение Conditional Types)

Come up to the board, this ex-s is for you (Genially Learning apps 1(Types) Match…Well done!

5)Воспроизведение на новом уровне (переформулированные вопросы).

Ok, it’s time to do Exercises in the textbook (Worksheet 5). Ex.2 - Complete using the correct form of the verbs.

Well, I see you know the grammar rules and now let’s check them together.

Your task is to clear up the way for our raft. By matching two parts of the sentence.

Each pair should take part.

6)Контроль усвоения, обсуждение допущенных ошибок и их коррекция

на интерактивном плакате ссылка на упражнение в LearningApps Conditional Zero, First and Second, выполняем и одновременно комментируем, проверяем правильность выполнения.

  1. Тест (условные предложения) –Learning apps 2 (Sentences)
  • Well done!
  1. Now we are on the final step of our escape mission. Let’s remember Robinson’s story

Read the task in section 6 and place the events logically (work in pairs). Now Watch the video and correct the order. Check yourselves. Who was absolutely right? Raise your hands! who has 2 mistakes? Who had difficulties doing this task ?

  1. The last challenge for us is to create a chain story with the use of Conditional sentences. Do you remember your stories “My unlucky Day”? (было как домашнее задание)

If I had woken up on time that morning, I wouldn’t have been late for school. But I didn’t, so I had to run to school.

If I had paid attention in class, I would have known about the surprise test. But I didn’t, so I failed it.

If I hadn’t failed the test, my parents wouldn’t have been so disappointed. But they were, and I got grounded.

If I hadn’t been grounded, I could have gone to my best friend’s birthday party. But I couldn’t, so I spent the evening alone.

What an unlucky day! If just one thing had gone differently, everything would have been better. But nothing did, and it was the worst day ever.

The End.

It’s a group work come up to the board and create a story "Robibson Crusoe" in conditional sentences (3 type)

7). Заключительный этап

That’s really great job! My congratulations!

  1. Домашнее задание

- Your homework for the next lesson will be to create an alternative ending for the story

2) Подведение итогов.

Thank you for cooperation. I'm very pleased with your work. Your marks for the lesson…

----- -excellent!

---------good!

The lesson is over.
