The Tiny World of Insects

Insects are everywhere! They live in gardens, forests, and even in our houses. Although they are very small, they are very important for our planet.

All insects have six legs and three main body parts. Most insects, like bees and butterflies, have wings and can fly. Bees are very hard-working. They fly from flower to flower to collect pollen. This helps flowers to grow.

Some insects are not as popular. For example, mosquitoes sometimes bite people. Ants are famous for their strength; they live in big groups called colonies and work together all day. Some insects have bright colors to warn predators that they are dangerous or taste bad. Without insects, many animals would have no food, and many plants would disappear.
