Тема. The world of art

Тип урока: урок совершенствования знаний, умений навыков.

Цель урока: развитие навыков устной речи (способности монологически и диалогически высказываться по теме урока), совершенствование навыков чтения.

Задачи урока:

Учебная: совершенствование лексико-грамматических навыков говорения и умения вести диалогическую и монологическую речь по заданной тематике, совершенствовать умение понимать англоязычную речь на слух, совершенствование техники поискового чтения, развивать навыки сотрудничества через работу в парах и группах.

Развивающая: развивать познавательную активность обучающихся в процессе обучения иностранному языку, развивать речевые умения, способность к языковой догадке, сравнению, обобщению.

Воспитательная: воспитывать у учащихся уважительное и толерантное отношение к мнению собеседника, развивать стремление узнать больше о видах искусства, расширение общего кругозора учащихся; усиление интереса к урокам английского языка.

 

Ход урока

I.Greeting.

T: Good morning children. How are you today?

II. Warming-up.

T. Before to start our lesson I want you to warm up

III. Phonetic drill.

T: To improve your pronunciation we`ll start with phonetic drill. (T – Cl)

Look at the board. Read a tongue- twister after me.

Let try to pronounce it faster.

 

IV. The main part.

1.Motivation

Read and translate the following quotation

Life is short, art is long

 

So what will speak today about?

Right you are! We are going to talk about art and its place in our life.

 

 

Now I want you guess what we will do during the lesson. This task is very easy. P1 and P2 will help me. You have papers on your desks, turn them. We should match the picture with the action. Lets do it one by one. T.P3, what is that? P3. Speak English. T. Who has a picture the person speaks English? Girls, put them on the board. We are going to speak English. The next…

T. Look at the picture and say what type of art is it?

T. Can you add any more types?

3. Lexical practice

T. Art is impossible without a man. And how are people of art called? Look at the table in exercise 6b p.75. In the second column you can see the words meaning types of art. You are to fill in the gaps in the first column with the names of jobs. You have a minute to think it over. Now, let’s check.

T.I want to acquaint you with new words. May be some of them you know. Repeat after me.

Ask your partner about his favourite kind of music, use the table that is on the board.

 

6. Playing the game «Snowball»

 

T. You should repeat words of your partner and add yours. If you are wrong, I will say strike and you go out of the game.

You should make dialogues. Invite your friend to a concert. And act out your dialogue. Use cards that I have given you.

 

1. - Hi, Julia!

 

- Hello, Ellen! Nice to meet you. Do you have any plans on Saturday's evening?

 

- I think I don't. Do you have an idea for spending time?

 

- Yes, but I am not sure if you like it. Do you remember my favourite music group? I told you about it recently.

 

- Yes, it is Twenty One Pilots, as I remember.

 

- Wow! I am amazed that you remember full name. So, they are coming to our city on this Saturday and give a concert. Do you want to go with me?

 

-Oh, it sounds interesting, but I'm not sure. I don't know many it's songs. Only two or three which were popular last time. However, I think concert will be great anyway. I really love live music!

 

- So, will yоu go with me?

 

- Yes, I will!

 

- It's the best thing of this year!

A: This Sunday Black Veil Brides comes to our city. Would you like to go to the concert together?

 

B: Let’s go! I was about to go there, but I didn’t want to go alone. But to go there with you.. It’s a great idea!

 

A: I’m glad to hear it! After the concert, I would like to invite you to my house. We’ll watch films and eat pizza!

 

B: That’s good, but I must ask my mother. If she let me, I’ll call you.

 

A: Ok, I will wait for it.
