Форма проведения: игра-квест

Цели:

1. Развивать устную речь у учащихся.

2. Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

3. Обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Задачи:

1. Закрепить знания учащихся по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона».
2. Развивать положительные личностные качества, тренировать внимание, память, мышление.
3. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и страны изучаемого языка.

Оформление:

На доске карта Лондона, места посещения на А-4(Hyde park –Гайд-парк, Westminster Abbey – Вестминстерское аббатство, The National Gallery – национальная галерея, Trafalgar Square- Трафальгарская площадь, Big Ben – Биг Бен, London Eye – Лондонский глаз, London Zoo – Лондонский зоопарк, Buckingham Palace – Букингемский дворец).

 

 

Ход мероприятия.

I. Приветствие ведущего.

Quest-leader: Good afternoon, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today I want spend quest “Jeopardy! Go to London!” The Queen Elisabeth II lost her crown. You can help to find it. Time to introduce your teams.

 

Добрый день, мальчики и девочки! Я рада вас видеть. Сегодня я хочу провести квест «Рискни! Поезжай в Лондон!» Королева Елизвета 2 потеряла свою корону. Вам надо ее найти. Время представить ваши команды.

 

Pupil 1: I am the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Cambridge students”. Our motto is “Learn English!”

 

Я капитан команды. Название нашей команды «Студенты Кембридж». Наш девиз «Учи английский!»

 

Quest -leader: Who is the captain of the second team? (Кто капитан второй команды?)

 

Pupil 2: I am the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Oxfords students”. Our motto is “Enjoy English!” (Я капитан второй команды. Название нашей команды «Студенты Оксфорд». Наш девиз «Наслаждайся английским!»

II. Основной этап.

Quest -leader: The first place is Hyde Park. A long time ago the park belonged to Westminster Abbey and it got its name from an ancient unit of area. Now it has become one of the beloved places of Londoners who just want to have a rest or walk. You need do the first task. (первое место – это Гайд-парк. Долгое время назад парк принадлежал Вестминтерскому аббатству и получил название от части территории. Сейчас он стал любимым местом жителей Лондона для отдыха и прогулок. Необходимо выполнить первое задание). [приложение 1]

 

Quest-leader: And now we come to the second place which is called “Westminster Abbey”.

There is something special and wonderful about this building and it’s not only because of its impressive height and size. People who visit it for the first time are started by its beauty and glory. According to the ancient tradition all English kings and queens were crowned and wed here.

(Сейчас пришли в следующее место, которое называется «Вестминстерское Аббатство». Это здание особое и чудесное, не только из-за высоты и размера. Людей, кто посещает его первый раз, восхищает его красота и великолепие. Есть древняя традиция, английские короли и королевы венчаются здесь.

Quest-leader: The third place is The National Gallery

The National Gallery is a world-famous art museum. The entrance to the gallery is free. This gives an opportunity to a lot of people to get to know about the development of different schools of painting, painters and painting techniques in different periods of time. (Национальная галерея - это всемирно-известный художественный музей. Вход в галерею бесплатный. Это дает возможность узнать о развитии различных художественных школ, художников и художественных техник в различные периоды времени). [приложение 3]

 

Quest-leader: The next place is Trafalgar Square.

Trafalgar Square is the pride of the inhabitants of London. Nelson's Column is a monument in Trafalgar Square built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar. Many events are hosted at Trafalgar Square, including cultural celebrations, commercial events, rallies and demonstrations, filming and photographic shoots. (Следующее место – это Трафальгарская площадь. Это гордость жителей Лондона. Памятник в честь адмирала Нельсона, погибшего на трафальгарской битве. Здесь проходят различные культурные мероприятия, митинги и демонстрации, видео и фотосъемки).

Quest-leader: Attention please! The fifth place is Big Ben.

Big Ben has become a popular souvenir for tourists. Almost all visitors of London buy a small souvenir in the shape of the world-famous clock. Also Big Ben can be often seen in famous films and ads. Official name of the tower is the “Westminster Palace Clock Tower” or “St. Stephen’s Tower”. Big Ben is only the name of the clock itself along with the bell.

Now you need complete dialog about Big Ben. Complete dialog.

(Внимание! Пятое место - это Биг Бен. Он стал популярным сувениром для туристов. Почти все посетители Лондона покупают маленькие сувениры в виде всемирно-известных часов. Также его часто показывают в фильмах и рекламах. Официальное название башни это «часовая башня Вестминстерского дворца» или «башня святого Стефана». Биг Бен - это только название часов с колоколом). Quest-leader: Now we come to the sixth place is called “London Eye”.

I understand why tourists like it so much, this wheel is one of the highest in the world and the view of the whole city of London from so high is remarkable, in addition you can see all the main sights from there. At night time it’s illuminated. The captain need make up comparative and superlative forms for these adjectives. First team – hot, bad, difficult. Second teams – cold, good, different. (Cейчас мы подошли к 6 месту, которое называется «Лондонский глаз». Я понимаю, почему туристам он так нравится, это одно из самых высоких в мире и имеет обзор на весь город. Поднимаясь на самый верх можно увидеть все достопримечательности Лондона. В темное время он освещается. Капитанам необходимо составить сравнительную и превосходную степень прилагательных. Первая команда – жарко, плохо, сложно. Вторая команда – холодно, хорошо, разные.)

Quest-leader: One more place. It is called “London Zoo”

It’s a very nice place to relax and spend some time especially with children. It is a world’s oldest zoo. This zoo is pretty big and rich for different kind of animals, birds and fish. I guess here you can find everything.

Each team has black box. You should guess what is in it. Teams ask riddle each other. (Еще одно место - это «Лондонский зоопарк». Хорошее место для отдыха и провождения времени, особенно для детей. Является самым старым зоопарком в мире. Он достаточно большой и богатый различными видами животных, птиц и рыб. Я уверена, что вы можете здесь все найти).

III. Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов игры.

Quest-leader: Last place is Buckingham Palace. Dear players, do you like music? Listen to the songs “Big Ben” and sing. Our jury will add up the score of the game. ( Последнее место – это Букингемский дворец. Дорогие игроки, вы любите музыку? Давайте послушаем песню «Биг Бен» и споем. Жюри подведет итог). [Приложение 7]

 

Jury: The score is … to … in smb’s favour. The team “…” the winner. (жюри выражает свое мнение)

 

IV. Reflection. Рефлексия.

Quest-leader asks participants: 1. What did you like?

2. What didn’t you like?

3. What was difficult?

The Queen thanked you and asked me to give you pens. Write her letter. These sweets and pens for you.(Giving presents).

( Задать вопросы игрокам: 1.Что понравилось? 2.Что не понравилось? 3.Что было сложным?

Королева поблагодарила вас за найденную корону и попросила меня вручить вам ручки. Пишите ей письма. Эти ручки и конфеты для вас.(вручение подарков)).

Isaac Newton was the greatest scientist and physicist of all time. He represented his theory of gravity and gave his understanding about optics and mathematics.

Margaret Thatcher was the first woman who took a position as Prime Minister from 1979—1990. She was nicknamed “Iron Lady” because she was never afraid of telling her mind and always followed her philosophy.
