Вид урока: урок актуализации знаний

Цели:

  1. практические: формирование практических умений в говорении и аудировании;
  2. воспитательные: формирование целостного представления о профессиональной деятельности;
  3. образовательные: расширение кругозора учащихся, формирование у учащихся отношения к успеху;
  4. развивающие: развитие творческих способностей и логического мышления, коммуникативных умений и применение их на практике.

Задачи урока:

образовательная: развивать навыки устной речи и аудирования; активизировать ранее изученную лексику по теме “Профессия и успех”.

развивающая: развивать интеллектуальные способности учащихся; формировать умение выделять главное, сравнивать и анализировать.

воспитательная: развивать у учащихся самостоятельность мышления; содействовать профориентации учащихся, воспитывать умения сотрудничать и работать в команде; воспитывать личностные качества: ответственность, самостоятельность,

здоровьесберегающая: предупреждать переутомление у учащихся путем смены деятельности.

Технологии: технология развития критического мышления, информационно-коммуникативная (слайдовая презентация), сотрудничество, игровая.

Формы работы – индивидуальная, фронтальная, групповая, парная.

Приемы работы – концептуальное колесо, круги по воде, мозговой штурм, классификация знаний, перенос знаний в новую ситуацию, использование ТСО.

Оснащение урока: оформление доски, дидактический раздаточный материал по теме, компьютер, проектор.

 

Обучающие цели: а) совершенствование коммуникативных умений;

                б) увеличение объема знаний по теме;

                в)  увеличение объема используемых  лексических единиц.

 

Развивающие цели: а) развитие навыков аудирования, диалогической речи и монологического высказывания по теме;

                 б) развитие лексических и грамматических навыков.

 

 Воспитательные цели: а) воспитание нравственности, трудолюбия,       культуры общения в коллективной деятельности;

                      б) развивать у учащихся самостоятельность мышления;

                      в) содействовать профориентации учащихся.

 

 Оборудование: учебник и тетрадь, проектор, компьютер, раздаточный материал по теме.

 

ХОД УРОКА

I.   Орг. Момент   Слайд 1, 2

Приветствие, постановка задач и объяснение темы.

Good afternoon, children. Sit down, please. I am glad to see you. How are you?

Ps: Good afternoon. We are glad to see you too.

What date is today? Who is absent? I am on duty today. Today is the 20th of November. All are present today.

 T: Let’s start our lesson with the discussion on eating habits in our country. You are to work in pairs. You have questions, ask them and answer.

  • What kinds of food people eat in your country,
  • Whether most people have a healthy diet, why/ why not,
  • Whether you prefer eating at home or eating out, why,
  • What food you eat on special occasions, why.

 

II. Постановка целей и задач урока.

T.: I have listened to you and now listen to me. I will give you the definitions and you will find out what\who I am talking about.

I wear a uniform. I serve food and drinks.

I wear a white uniform and help sick people.

I carry a big bag. I take letters to people*s houses.

I sell fruit and vegetables.

I bake bread and make cakes.

I work in a garage. I fix cars.

 

Try to guess what topic of our lesson is.

Ps: It is about professions.

T: Today at our lesson we are going to speak about the wonderful world of professions. What are going to do during the lesson?

As you know there are a lot of interesting and useful jobs in the world. Now I’d like you to listen to a poem about a job which is difficult but noble and rewarding. But at first let’s read the words from the poem that might be difficult to you:

precious – ценный,

alight with pain –пораженный болью,

sensitivity and dedication –чуткость и самоотверженность,

healing touch–целительное прикосновение.

Now listen to the poem and guess what job is meant here.(слайд 2).

There is no gift more precious than one's health.
Happiness must rest upon that ground.
Alight with pain, no pleasure can be found,
Nor joy in love or beauty, words or wealth.
Know that I am grateful for your skill,
Your sensitivity and dedication.
Out of strength, I dreaded all sensation
Until your healing touch restored my will.

So, what job is described here? (the job of a doctor)

 

III. Актуализация опорных знаний.

Right you are. Now repeat the poem all together, please. Now you’ve got 1 minute to prepare good reading of the poem.

Now answer my questions, please.

  1. What words help us to understand that the job of a doctor is described here?
  2. What is the most precious gift, in the author’s opinion?
  3. Why is the author grateful to the doctor?

All right. And what do you think about the job of a doctor?

 

It is time for you to travel in the world of different professions and to find out which of them will be top in the nearest future. I wish you to be brave and active during our lesson.

T: First of all I would like you to revise the lexical material to the topic. Please Nastya will you go to the blackboard and read these words aloud. Now listen and repeat after her.

T: Finishing school is the beginning of the independent life for millions of school leavers. Many roads are opened before them: vocational and technical schools, institutes and universities.

I know that choosing a profession is a topical problem for you.

Our journalist has interviewed some students from our school about their plans for the near future. I would like you to watch this video right now.

The next activity will help us to revise some kinds of jobs and professions.

Now I would like you to name   the most prestigious professions.

T: What is the difference between the words Job, occupation, work, profession?

T:  Specialists say that the most popular reasons of choosing this or that jobs are: prestigious ness, high salary, interesting work, good working conditions, ability of training. The last place takes the advice of parents or friends.

T:  All professions require definite traits of character. What personal and professional qualities do you need to get this or that job?

Name them.

Ps: Well-educated, ability to work to tight deadlines, imaginative, well-organized, teamwork skills, creative, telephone skills, competent, responsible, persistent. confident, patient, honest, tolerant, competent, sociable, , brave, modest, friendly, hard-working, generous, practical, career-minded

 

V. Развитие умений в говорении по теме.

T: Choosing your future profession is not a simple matter, but a very important one and nobody else can do it for you. What should we take into consideration while choosing a profession?

 Let’s play a psychological game which is called a «Hot Chair» The game is very simple. One of you will sit down on the chair; the others will speak honestly about his or her traits of character. After all one of you will be psychologist and she give her some peaces of advice about choosing a profession.

       As far as I know you are…

       To be honest you are..

 Let’s listen to the psychologist`s advice how to look and feel confident and what profession to choose.

Psychologist: You should choose the profession of a teacher. This kind of job requires love to children and ability to explain.

T: What are your plans for the near future?
      What do you want to be?
      Why have you chosen this kind of profession?
      What do you like to do?

 

Ps: I haven’t decided yet. But I still have time to think and to choose.

T : Now we are going to play.

Balloon debate.

Imagine you are flying in a balloon. But it is being overloaded with passengers. The group consists of people of different professions. It is very dangerous and you have to land some passengers. You can have only 8 passengers in your balloon. What 8 professions would you choose? Discuss and explain your choice. Work in two groups. Each group has a captain, presenting the situation; the passengers of the balloon present his/her profession and give reasons. The team, which has the best presentation of the problem wins! VI. Физминутка.  I see you tired. Let’s have a rest with funny students from China.

 

 T: After graduating from the University you are not students any longer. You are young specialists. What do you do next?

T: When you apply for a job you may need to provide a resume which gives the employer important information about you. Have a look at the screen and watch a video about the job interview.

T:  What have we done today? We have listened and discussed our interesting theme. I believe this lesson was useful and interesting for you, and I believe you are sure to make a right choice of your future profession. I wish you to find yourselves in this world, be kind, be honest, be noble everywhere and in everything. And your marks please… Your home task for the next lesson is to write an essay “My future profession”.
