Конкурс-урок обобщения и закрепления «Do YOU Know Past Simple Well?»

Аннотация

Цель конкурса:

• обобщить и закрепить знания, полученные при изучении темы «Прошедшее простое время»;
• повторить лексику по теме «Лето. Каникулы. Отдых»;
• мотивировать учащихся к изучению английского языка через соревновательную форму проведения урока;
• способствовать развитию навыков логического мышления, сравнения, анализа, языковой догадки;
• развивать умение работать в группе и распределять задания между членами команды, оказывать помощь друг другу при выполнении заданий.

 

Конкурс рекомендуется проводить для учащихся 5-6 классов, изучивших употребление прошедшего простого времени правильных и неправильных глаголов и запомнивших лексику по теме «Лето. Каникулы, Отдых». Данная группа учеников занимались по учебнику “Spotlight”. Группу можно разбить на команды по 4 человека. Учащиеся должны уже знать некоторые формы неправильных глаголов и лексику наизусть. Конкурс состоит из пяти заданий от простых к более сложным. Учащиеся практикуются в чтении, умении понимать и составлять, грамотно переводить предложения в прошедшем простом времени, умении составить рассказ. За правильные ответы на задания дети получают красные звездочки; за неточные, с небольшой ошибкой – синие. В конце конкурса команды подсчитывают количество красных и синих звездочек, называются победитель и призеры. Самым активным детям выставляются оценки в электронный журнал. Продолжительность конкурса 45-50 минут.

Task V. Make up a Russian folk tale about the turnip (репка). Use the given words and phrases in the table.

Begin with the following sentences:

End the folk tale with the sentence:

Task V.

This Russian folk tale is about a family in the countryside. The main characters of the tale are Old Man (Dedka), his wife (Babka), his granddaughter (Vnuchka), their pets Dog (Zhuchka), Cat (Murka) and a little mouse.

One day Dedka planted a turnip in the kitchen-garden. The turnip grew and grew and became very huge. He decided to pull it out but he could not do it. So he called his wife Babka to help him. They tried and tried to pull the turnip out but couldn’t do it. They called their Vnuchka, then his Dog Zhuchka and his Cat Murka but they couldn’t pull the turnip out. At last they called a little mouse that helped them to pull that huge turnip out.

The moral is: it is very important to be friendly and helpful, especially in difficult situations. Sometimes a small effort can help you to solve a problem.
