Конкурс «Was or were?»

Аннотация

Конкурс “Was Or Were?”по теме “Summer Holidays” рекомендуется проводить для учащихся 5 - 6 классов, изучивших прошедшее простое время глагола “to be”.

Основная цель конкурса – обобщение и повторение употребления глагола to be в прошедшем простом времени, а также закрепление лексики по теме «Летние каникулы».

 

Конкурс состоит из шести заданий, начиная с простых и заканчивая более сложными заданиями, которые направлены на совершенствование грамматических и речевых навыков и обобщение грамматического материала. Задания предполагают проверку умений и навыков употреблять глагол to be в прошедшем простом времени в зависимости от подлежащего в предложении, соблюдать правильный порядок слов в предложениях разного типа: утвердительных, отрицательных и вопросительных. Задания проверяют умение строить небольшие по объему монологические высказывания (7-8 предложений), используя слова, данные вразбивку по теме «Летние каникулы».

Конкурс носит соревновательный характер между командами, состоящими из 5-7 человек. За каждое верное предложение команда получает по одному очку. В конце конкурса побеждает команда, набравшая самое большое количество очков. За лучшие результаты ученики и команды получают дипломы, всем участникам конкурса выставляются оценки.

Конкурс развивает мышление, логику, языковую догадку и воображение, а также учит детей работать в группе, в команде. Если группа учеников не очень «сильная», можно объяснять задания на русском языке.

The dances were great. It was nice there. It was not boring. I was happy to be with my friends at the camp.

 

The story “In town”

My summer was nice because my holidays were not boring. I was at home. If the weather was wonderful, I was at the lake with my friends. We were on the beach. It was great! I was in the park with my parents too. In the evening I and my friends were in the yard. It was fun. We were happy to be together.

 

The story “At the sea”

Last summer was great. My parents weren’t at work. We were at the sea. The weather was fine and hot. The sun was bright and the sand was yellow. The sea was warm and blue. I was happy because we were in the aqua park. It was nice there. My summer holidays were wonderful.
