Тема: “Buying a present” 6 класс

Цели урока: развитие языковой компетентности учащихся.

Задачи урока:

  1. Образовательная – освоить новые лексические единицы по теме «Подарки» в различных видах речевой деятельности;
  2. Развивающая – развивать воображение при моделировании ситуации общения;
  3. Воспитательная – воспитывать уважение к традициям и обычаям как части культуры разных стран мира.

Оснащение: учебник Spotlight 6 (Student’s Book);

Class CD к учебнику; доска; компьютер; мультимедийный проектор

Good afternoon, boys and girls.

I am glad to see you. I hope everybody is ready to work. Let’s greet our guests. Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson. How are you?

What the weather like today?

Today we will discuss a very interesting topic, but at first it is necessary to solve a crossword puzzle. Look at the screen, please.

Today we’ll speak about shopping, different presents, which we can buy. Why do we need it?

  1. Идиомы. Идиомаэто когда какое-либо выражение теряет свое буквальное значение и приобретает особый смысл, нередко даже не связанный со смыслом отдельных слов в выражении. Читаем 3 раза (3 мин)

  1. Введение лексики: What do you associate with the word “Shopping”? (2-3 мин)

Complete the word web with words relating to the topic.

Ex 1 p 62 Do you go shopping for your friend`s presents? What presents do you buy? (3-4 мин)

  1. Ex 2 p 62 Т: Read the sentences below and mark (S) for the shop assistant and (C) for the customer. What are they talking about? Listen, read and check. Включаю им диалог. (1: 17)

  1. Ex. 4 T: Imagine it is your English friend`s birthday and you want to buy him/ her a present. In pairs, act out dialogues like the dialogue in ex.3. Use the presents and prices in pictures above to help you. (5 мин)

  1. What do you think about original presents? Look at the screen, please. What is it? This is Taj Mahal. Where is it situated? It is an ivory-white mausoleum in the Indian city of Agra. The emperor of India Shah Jahan commissioned it. He loved his wife very much, but she died. And he created this monument in memory of her.

The second original present is the golden brush tooth for Mick Jagger.

The third original present is the cactus plantation. Do you know who were Bonnie and Clyde? They were American criminals.

  1. What do you prefer to get or to give presents? Please, divide into two groups. Put your hands up, who prefers to get presents: take a seat at the table № 1, others take a seat at the table № 2. Write 3 arguments for your position.
