Брейн-ринг «We learn English»

Цель: научить учащихся употреблять выученные слова в нетипичных ситуациях, закрепить изученные лексические единицы по теме “Animals”, “School” “Food”, “Colours”; развивать память, мышление, языковую догадку; умение работать в команде; воспитывать интерес к английскому языку, внимание, дисциплину, самоконтроль, выявлять у обучающихся способности к интеллектуальной деятельности; развивать критическое мышление.

Оборудование: презентация, раздаточный материал.

Ход мероприятия

I.Организационный момент

Ведущий: Good morning, boys and girls. You are welcome to the intellectual English contest Brain ring “We learn English”. Now I would like to introduce you our jury. They will judge the competition fairly.

(Ведущий представляет членов жюри.)

Ведущий: Welcome to our competition. Take your seats, please. Today you will speak English, guess riddles, sing songs, draw and play. I hope you are all good friends and like to be together. So, let’s sing song “The More We Are Together”

II. Основная часть мероприятия.

  1. Round 1. “Patters”

Ведущий: You see some patters. Your task is to say them as quickly as you can.

(члены команд по очереди проговаривают скороговорки)

She sells seashells on the seashore.

A fat cat sat on a mat and ate a fat rat.

Ведущий: Well done. Now the jury gives us the results of the first round.

  1. 2 Round “Matching words”

Ведущий: Our competition goes on and the second round is called “Matching words”. Each team gets the envelope with words. Your task is to match words of one topic.

(Matching words: black-white, bread-butter, right-wrong, boys-girls, big-little, hands-feet, hat-coat, etc.)

Ведущий: Well done. Now the jury gives us the results of the second round.

(Жюри подводит итоги второго раунда).

  1. Round 3 “Try to remember”

Ведущий: Our next round is called “Try to remember” The task for the first team is to remember as many word as you can which begin with letter H, the second team must to remember as many words as they can which begin with letter B. The team which remember more words will win in this round.

  1. Round 4 “Find the missing word”

Ведущий: Your task is to read the text and complete it with missing words. These words consist of three letters and the middle letter is “A”

  1. Round 7 “Riddles”

Ведущий: Your task is to guess riddles. The more riddles you will guess the more points you will get for this round. So, listen attentively.
