Цели урока:
Обучающие:
- развивать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся в рамках темы «Еда и здоровье»;
- развивать умения аудирования с выборочным пониманием основного содержания;
- развивать умения смыслового чтения с целью полного понимания информации;
- развивать навыки распознавания и употребления в речи форм действительного и страдательного залога;
Развивающие:
- развивать творческие способности, критическое и системное мышление учащихся;
- научиться основам реализации проектно-исследовательской деятельности;
- развивать умение осуществлять расширенный поиск информации с использованием ресурсов Интернета;
Воспитательные:
- ознакомить учащихся с основами правильного питания;
- формировать у учащихся ответственное отношение к своему здоровью;
- формировать умение организовать сотрудничество.

Ход урока.
I Организационный момент. Приветствие.
Good morning, children! Nice to see you!
II Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности обучающихся.
Урок начинается с прослушивания фрагмента песни «You Are What You Eat»
I’d like to start our lesson with a song. Let’s listen to it.
III Обобщение и систематизация знаний по теме «Food and Health»
1. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
T: It’s very important to start your day with a good mood. How do you usually start your day? Do you eat breakfast in the morning? Who had breakfast today?
Why is eating breakfast so important?
T: So, the first tip for healthy eating: don’t skip breakast.
2. The Food Pyramid.
T: It’s also important to plan your daily food choices. You can use the Food Pyramid for this purpose.
S: The Food Pyramid is designed to make healthy eating easier.
Fruit and vegetables group.
It provides many important vitamins, minerals and fibre.
You should choose any five or more servings each day - more is better.
Bread, cereals, pasta and rice group.
Foods of this group are the best energy providers for your body, so the more active you are the more you need. Choose any six or more servings each day.
Milk, yoghurt and cheese group.
It provides calcium needed for healthy bones and teeth. Calcium is important during the teenage growth.
Choose any three servings each day.
Meat, poultry, fish, eggs, beans and nuts group.
Much of the protein in your diet comes from foods of this group.
Choose any two servings each day.
Fats, and oils are needed in very small amounts.
Foods and drinks high in fat, sugar and salt
are not needed for good health. You should limit what you eat from this group .
You should also drink at least 8 cups of fluid a day – water is the best.
3. Nutrients and their functions.
T: Now we are going to have a talk about nutrients. What are the most essential nutrients for our body?
S: Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water.
T: That’s right! Now you’ll watch a short video about nutrients. Your task is to understand the basic information.

4. A colourful diet.
T: Саn you eat a rainbow? Yes, you can! And you should every day.
Who can explain what it means to eat a rainbow?
Blue and purple fruit and vegetables are good for our brain.
T: So, another tip for healthy eating: eat a rainbow.
5. Fast Food.
T: Our modern life is very fast and busy. Nowadays people don’t have enough time to cook food and eat properly. So, they choose eating Fast Food because it’s easy and convenient. But what is Fast Food?
S: Fast Food gets its name from the speed in which it is made. It usually takes one minute for food to be made upon ordering.
T: And what’s the most popular Fast Food?
S: A hamburger.
T: That’s right. And your home assignment was to learn some facts about the history of the hamburger.

The History of the Hamburger
The hamburger is the most eaten food in the whole world. The first hamburgers
