Урок английского языка в 8 классах с использованием приемов технологии развития критического мышления обучающихся.

Урок разработан и проведен учителями английского языка МАОУ СОШ №151 с углубленным изучением отдельных предметов Бахаревой А.Н., Лужбиной Т.А.

 

Тема урока: «Bullying»

Цель урока: формирование навыков чтения, говорения и аудирования по теме «Bullying» и «Еmotions».
Учебная задача: развивать навыки чтения, логического высказывания по прочитанному; навыки аудирования, аудиовизуальной грамотности, отработать лексику по теме урока.

Социальная задача: обсудить с учащимися острую социальную проблему травли в школьных коллективах; развивать эмоциональный интеллект учащихся;

Воспитательная задача: формировать у учащихся ценностно-смысловые компетенции по отношению к своим правам, уважение человеческого достоинства, социальную защищенность.

Оборудование: видеопроектор, компьютер, раздаточный материал (напечатанные тексты для пункта 2 в ходе урока).

Ход урока

1. Разминка (Warmer) (5 минут) Учитель выписывает на доску слова classmates, hurt, tease, feel depressed, report an incident to your teacher, posting online.

Учащимся предлагается упражнение Label the pictures (изображения выводятся на экран)

Вопрос учащимся: Look at these words. They are all related to today's topic. What is this lesson about?

Учитель по необходимости помогает ученикам с незнакомой лексикой, не произнося при этом слово bully или bullying. Например, "Why does the girl in picture 4 look so depressed?" или "What do we call a situation when classmates tease someone in their class?".

Работа проводится со всем классом в формате Brainstorm activity, обсуждение ответов и запись их на доске.

В завершение данной части урока детей знакомят с новым словом – bullying.

2. Учитель представляет учащимся задание на чтение: Now you are going to read a text about bullying. (5-7 минут). Когда ученики закончили читать текст, учитель просит их ответить на следующие вопросы (ответы выносятся на доску) (5-7 минут).

1) What are the three kinds of bullying? (verbal bullying (words), physical bullying (physical attacks), emotional bullying (false rumours, ignoring, laughing at people)

2) What happens when someone uses cyberbullying? (photos and insults are posted on the internet)

A bully is someone who hurts others. Bullies usually hurt the same person, again and again, on purpose. There is no typical bully. Bullies can be boys, girls or adults. There are three kinds of bullying. Young bullies usually use words (verbal bullying). They call people ugly names and tease their victims. Older bullies often use physical bulling – they hit, push, kick and so on. Teenagers often use the third kind, called emotional bullying. This means that bullies don’t touch the other person but they play with people’s feelings. For example, bullies spread false rumours about someone in class. They ignore people or laugh at them behind their back to make the victims feel like they don’t belong to the group. Or they may use cyberbullying, which is becoming more and more common. For example, they post photos on the internet. Let’s be clear about three things: (1) bullying is not ‘normal’ – it’s not a part of growing up; (2) one type of bullying is not better than another – bullying is bullying; and (3) all bullying is wrong.

3. Учитель объявляет о просмотре видеоматериала и задании к нему: "Now you are going to watch a short animated film about bullying, When you finish, I would like you to tell what kinds of bullying were shown in the film."

Ожидаемые ответы: The film shows verbal bullying – the classmates call the girl "Rat" because she reported bullying to the head teacher. It also shows physical bullying – other kids throw a slice of pizza at the boy. There was also emotional bullying – when classmates ignore the girl in the changing room. Cyberbullying happened when classmates posted a photo of the boy on Instagram and called him fat in the comments.

В заключение учитель спрашивает у класса: How do the boy and the girl feel when their classmates bully them online and offline? (ожидаемые ответы: They are not happy, they feel depressed and lonely)

Why do they feel better when they start chatting online and meet offline again? (Ожидаемые ответы: They feel better because they are now friends and they are not alone anymore.)

 

В зависимости от уровня языковой компетенции класса и наличия времени урок можно варьировать, дополнив задание на чтение упражнениями в тестовом формате, например:

4. Рефлексия урока. Подведение итогов урока.

Учитель завершает урок словами: Thank you! You worked very well today. Everybody has good marks.
