Pancakes Day: A Fun Tradition

Let’s talk about Pancakes Day, also known as Shrove Tuesday. This special day happens before Lent, a time when many people choose to give up certain foods.

Long ago, people wanted to use up their eggs, milk, and sugar before Lent started, so they made delicious pancakes! It was a way to enjoy these yummy ingredients.

On Pancakes Day, families celebrate by cooking pancakes together. It’s a fun time to flip pancakes in the air and see who can catch them! People also like to add toppings like syrup, fruits, or even chocolate.

In some places, there are big pancake races where competitors run while flipping pancakes in a frying pan! It’s exciting and funny to watch.
