Загадки в английском языке являются важным средством в развитии языковых умений и навыков детей. - это определенные задачи для обучающихся, которые надо решить, приложив свою эрудицию, свою смекалку, умственные способности, свои умения и навыки в изучении английского языка. играют важную роль в развитии мышления детей. Чтобы правильно отгадать загадку от обучающихся требуется наблюдательность, умение анализировать, сопоставлять. В свою очередь, загадки тренируют сообразительность, быстроту реакции, гибкость мыслительных процессов, заставляют смотреть на предметы с разных сторон. Наличие большого количества загадок об одном и том же явлении позволяет давать всестороннюю характеристику предмету (явлению). Но значение загадок в том, что они дают определенные понятия о природе и знания из самых различных областей человеческой деятельности. Логическая задача в загадке приобретает своеобразную художественную форму. Благодаря этому она особенно привлекательна. И построение загадки, и ее лексика собирают внимание ребенка, вызывают интерес к задаче. Детям нравится отгадывать загадки. способствуют развитию памяти обучающихся, быстроте и гибкости умственных реакций. Загадка развивает наблюдательность детей. На уроках английского языка загадки помимо прочего, обогащают словарный запас детей, позволяют услышать уже знакомые слова и выражения в разных грамматических конструкциях, и при этом сложить осмысленный образ предмета или явления.

Но важным для учителя является подготовка учеников к загадкам. Дети должны быть хорошо знакомы с явлениями и предметами, о которых идет речь в загадке. Они также должны хорошо знать лексику, которую использует учитель
