Цели:
Обучающие:
- Активизировать лексику по теме «Films»;
- Отработать грамматику по теме «Passive Voice» в устной и письменной речи;
- Научиться выражать свое мнение без предварительной подготовки на заданную тему с использованием лексики по теме;
- Научиться высказывать и аргументировать свое мнение по теме урока.
Развивающие:
- Развивать коммуникативные умения учащихся в четырех основных видах речевой деятельности (чтение, говорение, аудирование, письмо);
- Развивать лексическую и грамматическую (сослагательное наклонение) сторону речи;
- Развивать способности к продуктивным речевым действиям;
- Развивать внимание, логическое мышление, умение сравнивать и делать выводы, извлекать нужную информацию из текста.
Воспитательные:
- Воспитать у учащихся осознанное отношение к использованию технических новинок в повседневной жизни;
- Обучить сотрудничеству и работе в группах;
- Сформировать навыки межличностного общения;
- Воспитать чувства взаимопомощи и поддержки через работу в парах и группах.
Задачи урока:
- Научиться выражать свое мнение по теме с использованием изученной лексики;
- Распознавать и употреблять в речи различные коммуникативные типы предложений;
- Совершенствовать навыки говорения;
- Научиться планировать свою собственную деятельность и распределять время;
- Развивать навык самостоятельного поиска информации и её систематизации.

Оборудование урока: УМК «Английский в фокусе» для 10 класса общеобразовательных учреждений (авторы В. Эванс, Д. Дули, Б. Оби, О. Афанасьева, И.В.Михеева) 2023 г.; доска, раздаточный материал, виде- и аудиозаписи.

Teacher (T): Ladies and gentlemen, welcome on our board «International Airlines». How is your mood today?
Pupils (Ps) (supposed answer): I’m good/fine/ok/so so/ bad etc. And how are you?
T: I’m also great, thank you! Please, look through the windows. What is the weather like today?
Ps (supposed answer): Today it’s warm/sunny/not cloudy etc.
T: It means we are going to enjoy our flight today without any troubles! It’s great, isn’t it?
Ps (supposed answer): Yes, it is.

T: Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to the monitors in front of you. Could you describe the pictures you see?
Ps (supposed answers):
P1: In the picture 1, Charlie Chaplin is making a movie.
P2: The second picture depicts how movies were made before.
P3: In the third picture I can see the Lumière Brothers, Auguste and Louis, who invented the cinematography.
T: Thank you for your answers. All of you are definitely right! So, how do you think what is the theme of our today’s journey? Where are we flying?
Ps (supposed answers): Are we going to Hollywood/, Paris, Moscow etc.?
T: No, we aren’t. Today we have more interesting destination – the land of cinematography!
Please, turn off all personal electronic devices and fasten your seatbelts. We’re taking off in a few minutes. Please, enjoy the flight.

T: Now, ladies and gentlemen, we are going to have another stop and I invite you to visit one local cinema which calls «Kinorus». Take your tickets, please, (Приложение 1) and read aloud movie we are going to watch now.
Ps (supposed answer): Today we’re going to watch The Maze Runner by Wes Ball.
T: Have you ever watched it?
Ps (supposed answer): Yes, I have / No, I haven’t.
T: Alright. So, now let’s watch the movie!

T: Now, ladies and gentlemen, you will get a piece of paper with some questions regarding the video you have just watched. Please, work in pairs and in a few minutes, we will check who was the most attentive. (Приложение 2)
T: So, ladies and gentlemen, let’s check your results. Don’t forget that we use Passive but not Active Voice to describe actions which are more important than the person/people doing it. Look at your monitors, please. There is a card with the rule of Passive Voice. Refresh your memory before making sentences. (Приложение 3)

T: So, now I see that you are true cinema addicts, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s leave this cinema hall and try to look behind the scene. Let’s think and discuss how films are made. I will give you some cards with a number of different stages by which a film is made. I want you to work in small groups (3-4 pupils each). Imagine that you are a film director. Read the stages and put them in the correct order. (Приложение 4)
(Ученики получают карточки (Приложение 4), на которых написаны этапы создания фильма. Ученики работают в малых группах (3-4 чел.), распределяя этапы в нужном порядке)
Ps (supposed answers):
Group №1: The first stage is called Development. At this stage the ideas for the film are created.
Group №2: The second stage is called Pre-production. At this stage arrangements and preparations are made for the shoot, such as hiring cast and film crew.
Group №3: The third stage is called Production. At this stage the raw footage and other elements for the film are recorded during the film shoot.
Group №4: The fourth stage is called Post-productions. At this stage the images, sound, and visual effects of the recorded film are edited and combined into a finished product.
Group №5: The fifth stage is called Distribution. The completed film is distributed, marked and screened in cinemas.
T: Thank you for your answers! Great job! I am sure you all could film great movies which would become bestsellers!

T: Now, ladies and gentlemen, I suggest you to travel in time and learn some historic facts about films. Open your books on page 126, exercise 3. There are six sentences giving you some information from the history of films. Read them and circle the correct word. Afterwards we will check your results.

- Read the rules on GR13 in your books and revise the cases when we use the Passive Voice;
- Ex. 5 p. 126 – rewrite sentences in the Passive;
- Shoot your own video showing how your usual day is going* (extra task for those who wants)
